Personally came before me one of The justices of the peace <for Said > , who being duly sworn according to law deposeth & saith that on or about the month of September 1842 in conversation with of Said said proposed to in Order to rid himself & of a debt owing to Lemuel Mallory of said County That should take his, ’s Brass Kettle & put in <it> into said Lemuel Mallory’s Stable without the knowledge of said Mallory he could thereby get said Mallory lodged in Jail <for Stealing> until he Mallory would feel compelled to relinquish the debt in favor of Mallory
