8 Nov. 1787–11 June 1859. Born in Hopkinton, Middlesex Co., Massachusetts. Daughter of John Young and Abigail (Nabby) Howe. Moved to Whitingham, Windham Co., Vermont, winter 1801. Moved to Sherburne, Chenango Co., New York, winter 1804. Married first Robert Carr, 5 May 1806, in Hopkinton. Moved to Cayuga Co., New York, ca. 1813. Moved to Mendon, Monroe Co., New York, by 1827. Married second Roswell Murray, 2 Feb. 1832, in Mendon. Baptized into Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Apr. 1832, in Mendon. Moved to Ohio, fall 1833; to Missouri, fall 1838; to Morgan Co., Illinois, winter 1838; and to Winchester, Scott Co., Illinois, by fall 1839. Identified in some sources as a plural wife of JS, sealed on 2 Nov. 1843. Left Kanesville (later Council Bluffs), Pottawattamie Co., Iowa, with Edward Hunter pioneer company, 1850. Arrived in Salt Lake Valley, 12–13 Oct. 1850. Died in Salt Lake City.
