Chase, Sisson Almadorus
Biography
1 Oct. 1809–4 Apr. 1872. Farmer, laborer. Born in Bristol, Addison Co., Vermont. Son of Abner Chase and Amy Scott. Married Miriam Gove, 16 May 1832. Baptized into Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints by Ezra Chase, 1840. Moved to Lincoln, Addison Co., by Oct. 1839; to Iowa Territory, by 1842; to Hancock Co., Illinois, by June 1843; and to Pottawattamie Co., Iowa, by 1850. Arrived in Salt Lake Valley, 9 Sept. 1853. Ordained a high priest, 23 Feb. 1867. Died in Salt Lake City.
