Be it remembered that on the 25th day of June 1844, . , , . and as principal and as sureties personally appeared before me Robert F. Smith one of the justices of the Peace in and for the aforesaid, and jointly and Severally acknowledged themselves to owe the people of the state of the sum of Five hundred dollars. to be levied of their goods and chattels. Lands and tenements, if default be made in the condition following, to wit:
The condition of this recognizance is such, that if the above bound , . , and . shall personally be and appear before the circuit court on the first day of the Term thereof next to be holden in and for the aforesaid. then and there to answer a charge of Riot, and abide the judgment of the court, and not depart without leave; then this recognizince shall be void; otherwise it shall be and remain in full force and virtue. in Law.
